Building & Extensions

If you are thinking of building your dream home, then come and talk to us. We are not mass produced builders who only offer you basic options that suit the needs of the builder, not your needs. We can help you to orient your house to your site and fit your lifestyle. Whether you are a growing family with growing space and privacy requirements or you are downsizing to something smaller and easier to maintain, we can help you sort through all the options for new homes or extensions. We work with quality draftsmen who create innovative and affordable designs that will exceed your expectations for what can be done on your site.

If you love your neighbourhood, then the knockdown rebuild is a great option. You get to maintain all your daily routines for work and schools whilst enjoying modern living in an established suburb.

We are a hands on building business, we have the plant and machinery to knock down and we have all the means to build a new home. We win our jobs because of the quality of our work, attention to detail and our customer service.

The home you want is achievable when you have the right team paying attention to your needs and your overall vision. This is something you won’t achieve with a mass produced building company who only offer specific plans to choose from, the minimum house for the minimum price. Many big building companies make their money on the extras and changes to their basic contracts – things like adding extra electrical (more than one power point in a room), double glazed windows (a good choice for the Canberra environment), custom joinery, built in robes and more than just a metal tub with no storage in the laundry. We build houses how we would like one built for ourselves. Come and talk to us about your ideas and your dream and we can make it happen for you.

The home pictured here was built in 2010 in Dunlop. The split level home was built using the waffle pod system, which speeds up construction times and is perfect for fill or reactive clay sites. The customer requested extensive electrical wiring throughout the house to meet the growing computer needs of the parents and their teenage children.

This two story house in Chapman (pictured below) needed urgent work done to the upstairs veranda. Because the veranda was built around 20 years ago using Oregon, the timber lintels supporting the load eventually rotted through and the structure became a danger. We replaced all the timber throughout the veranda and then enclosed the dated round metal poles with styrene, rendered and painted to match the house. The round poles are now square and the front of the house has a modern feel to it - the owners can also confidently use their veranda again.

The atrium (pictured below) is in a home in O’Malley. The base of the original atrium had insufficient and poorly installed drainage so after many years the Cedar sliding door and windows enclosing the atrium were rotted through and the storage room underneath had suffered from the damp. The whole shell had to be replaced. We custom made and installed the sliding timber doors and window panes ourselves, installed a new concrete base, upgraded the drainage and conducted repairs to other areas of the house that had been damaged. The whole space was then repainted.

The new garage (pictured below), was custom designed and built at a home in Rivett. The whole house was then rendered after new windows were installed throughout, the roof was cleaned and painted and the driveway dug out and stamped concrete laid. The new garage is a seamless addition to the house.
